Food Donation Pick-Up and Delivery (Smart & Final)
Purpose: Lifeline Community Services is the beneficiary of Smart & Final's donation program. Its purpose is to donate extra inventory to organizations that focus on serving children, education, or health and human organizations. Every week, on Wednesday mornings, a volunteer picks up food donations at Smart & Final San Marcos location and delivers them one of Lifeline’s San Marcos locations. All donations are available on a first come, first serve basis to Lifeline clients.

Qualifications/Requirements
Hours: Process can take between 30-45 minutes from start (Smart & Final arrival) to finish (Lifeline departure)
Dress Code: Casual Attire and closed-toe shoes
Security Checks: DMV Print Out (Driver’s Record), Live Scan Background Check, TB & Drug Screening
- Pick-up of food donations every Wednesday morning between 10 - 11 am from Smart & Final's San Marcos location
- Transport and deliver donations directly from Smart & Final to Lifeline’s San Marcos location
- Sort and inventory donations
- Organize and shelf donations for easy access and distribution
- Must have own, reliable transportation
- Early morning availability every Wednesday
- Ability to transfer donations from shopping cart to vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. at a time
- Must have friendly and helpful demeanor
- 6 month minimum commitment
